Illinois State’s Department of Technology offers career-oriented engineering technology, project management, quality management and analytics, and training and development programs that can lead to the advancement of our technical and physical world.

Caterpillar funded our Department of Technology’s $1.2 million state-of-the-art integrated manufacturing laboratory. The manufacturing lab features 10 automated work stations, each with an industrial robot. We keep class sizes to about 20-24 students so that you can get the most out of your labs and experiential opportunities.
The majority of programs within the Department of Technology are STEM-designated, allowing graduates up to three years of work eligibility in the US after graduation.
Caterpillar, General Motors, Motorola or TEK Systems are just a few companies that have hired our Department of Technology graduates.
